Diabetes and High Blood Pressure

When diabetes affects the arteries, they become targets for hardening, which can result in excessive blood pressure. Diabetic and hypertensive patients are more likely to develop cardiovascular disease. Diabetes can harm the kidneys, eyes, neurological system, heart, and blood vessels if it is not adequately treated. People with high blood pressure and diabetes are sometimes administered blood pressure devices such ACE inhibitors, which are believed to protect the kidneys.
